Overview for doctors
How a doctor account works — accounts and roles, verification, patient access, and what you record.
VitaBoard gives you a doctor profile, a schedule, patient management, and tools to run consultations. Patients own their records; you get controlled access to your own patients.
Accounts and roles
- Sign up as a solo practitioner to create a doctor profile directly.
- Sign up as a clinic to create an organization and become its owner — you can add yourself as a treating doctor too.
A role belongs to your membership in a specific organization, not to your account. The same person can be a doctor at one clinic, a secretary at another, and a patient in their own right — no second email, no conflict.
Verification
Every doctor is verified before patients can find or book them. Build your profile, schedule, and services straight away; verification is a separate step. Until it's approved your profile is private — you won't appear in search, can't be booked, and can't receive payouts. See Getting verified.
Your patients
Your access is scoped to your own patients — people with an active access grant to you, created automatically when they book with you. You never have blanket access to the platform's patients. See Patients and access.
What you record
On a patient's record you have tabs for:
- Vitals — structured measurements during or after a visit
- Test results — order exams and record results
- Prescriptions — issue, amend, and cancel prescriptions
- plus the patient's profile, timeline, and shared files
Structured values you record become chartable on the patient's Health trends view, and out-of-range vitals are flagged automatically.
Schedule and payments
Define recurring availability plus exceptions; bookable slots are generated from that. Confirm appointments, take payment, and — once verified — receive payouts, minus the platform fee.
